So, our hotel is a block from the Mediterranean beach, so Paula and I went exploring once we got to our hotel yesterday afternoon. It served two purposes, one to check out the area, but two also to keep us awake because the jet lag is pretty tough!:)
Gorgeous beach, lot's of people...as you can see, they even had a guy doing the shell game...I guess people get shnooked in every culture!
Later our group walked about half a mile to a restaurant called Gordo...pretty good food, nothing really ethnic...grilled chicken and fries...
The picture of the sunset was right outside our restaurant...reminded me of Psalm 139:9-10, "if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast."
Got to meet the other two other people who are joining our group, Brandon and Susie who are from the Austin, Texas area...mother and son, very nice people.
We also had a little debriefing with our leader, Shlomi, we set off today at 8:30 am for our day's excursion...
